The Dordogne region has stunning meandering rivers, charming mellow stone villages, celebrated châteaux, rich vineyards and some of France's loveliest countryside; this is the heart of rural France.

The Dordogne boasts some of the best produce that is sure to tantalise your taste buds, with walnut pastries and desserts, fois gras and truffles, whether you are a connoisseur or not, the full-bodied red wines of Cahors and Bergerac, the famous white Monbazillac and Bergeracs are bound to find their way onto your table, and at very reasonable prices!
But more than anything else, this region is praised for its quality of life, many pleasures and very little hassle: good wines, great gastronomy, colourful markets, and local 'village fêtes'.


Easily accessible for the UK, either by car, train, or by plane; the local airport is Bergerac, offering lost cost flight to many UK airports such as Stansted, Bristol, Southampton and many more. You can even leave a car in secured parking zone at Bergerac airport for as little as 30 euros/month, should you like to have a second car permanently in France. you can also fly in from Bordeaux, Limoges, Toulouse, and very shortly Brive.
